So not only did you teach me about writing memoir, you also taught me about reading and thinking about how others write memoir. Thank you so much! Rebecca

Accepting what is to come

"The best thing about this book is that I didn't cry sad tears, only happy ones. Have given the book to several pet-loving friends, and we all love that the stories are true, heartwarming, and short (my favorite was the one with the horse). It's well worth the very reasonable price!                                                                                          …Pat Opperman, Roswell, Georgia

If you have ever loved an animal, made it part of your family, and still tell stories about him, you will like the stories, essays and poems in this book. The people involved with the horses, dogs, rabbits, birds and cats, have relationships -- some great and some not so great.

Brandy, the black miniature poodle was a dare-devil who could climb ladders and fences, and would chase cattle until they turned on him. He then raced them across the pasture, staying just ahead of the herd, and slipping through the fence with their hot breath on his back.

Found Hound found a home because he was persistent. Spot was the neighborhood Casanova. Tiger had fallen on hard times, but she traveled a long way and found a dog that loved her and a family that sheltered her. Amos turned out to be a healer for Barry.
