So not only did you teach me about writing memoir, you also taught me about reading and thinking about how others write memoir. Thank you so much! Rebecca

Scott Owens wrote an enticing review of the new book by Joanna Catherine Scotts, An Innocent in the House of the Dead. I heard her read from this book at Poetry Day in Hickory a couple of weeks ago and was surprised at the subject of her poems. Scott tells us how the poet takes on the NC judicial system in this book. Maybe we should all read it.

What do you think about the poet adopting this boy on death row?
