Mountain Writers in Waynesville, NC is a group including many Netwest members. JC Walkup, Netwest Rep for Haywood County, and others have put together what looks to be an exciting and enlightening workshop for Saturday, September 25. Visit their website to see who will be the presenters for the all day gathering of poets, fiction and non-fiction writers.

It seems to me they have something for everyone. And the price is exceptionally reasonable.
Having just come from Waynesville last week, I must say I could have spent the weekend there. The town is filled with the most interesting shops and restaurants. When you go, be sure to stop in at Blue Ridge Books on Main Street. They are better than a Barnes and Nobles.
You can find Echoes Across the Blue Ridge as well as Now Might As Well Be Then on the shelves. Take your laptop if you want to sit in a booth and write while enjoying one of the delicious baked goodies or smoothies offered at the food bar. Leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it.
So not only did you teach me about writing memoir, you also taught me about reading and thinking about how others write memoir. Thank you so much! Rebecca
